I was able to watch this movie recently. It was very good! The one thing I think many people need to understand is that it is not what is considered a movie just for women (also known as "chick flick".) The movie goes through the story of a struggling marriage but also shares the salvation message in a non cliche way.
The characters are well developed. It has some humor and a view of every day people with common misunderstandings of who God is and what the role of salvation really is in a person's life. One line states the common phrase by non-christians "I'm a good person..."
I would recommend this movie to everyone who is married or is thinking about getting married.
*Sidenote/fun fact: Kirk Cameron is married in real life. He stated in an interview that he is committed to his wife and made it a principle not to ever kiss another woman (which movie actors are sometimes scripted to do.) In the movie there is a scene where the main character Caleb (played by Kirk Cameron) and the wife kiss. The way Kirk Cameron kept his principles was by asking his real life wife to stand in for the main woman character playing his wife. So the scene in the movie where the couple kiss is really Kirk Cameron and his real wife. I call that standing on character and principles. It made me want to see the movie even more. It sheds light on the fact that there is no excuse to compromise on your principles and what is right.
